Sometimes the best plans come to absolutely naff all. The Baroness was not something I'd planned (although I'd seen it a while before and thought it was a lovely figure). A model show was fast coming up, and I wanted a figure done to at least preview for it. I emailed Ari (who had done my Cirae figure) and we were going to do a sci-fi figure. It became clear that for varied reasons this wasn't going to happen in time, so Ari offered the Baroness to me. As I loved the figure anyway, it really wasn't much of a struggle to say 'yes please' to it!
She's a deceptively simple figure when you first see her, but until you see the figure in the flesh you don't quite realise how dinky she is! Whilst she's 28mm, she's incredibly finely sculpted, but was a pleasure to paint up nonetheless. I suspect out of all the figures I've made this one could have the most interesting uses though - from undead armies, Cthulu scenarios or just a good old ghost story, I reckon she'd fit the bill nicely.
Either way, I'm very happy to have her in the range.
